1. Mink Camper – $17,000
Anyone searching for a tiny trailer that packs a punch needs to check out this first entry in our list of the best teardrop trailers. It’s the perfect off grid living solution for millennials on the move, bringing WiFi and USB charging to the camping table.
Yep; if you work on the go and regularly hook up to a hotspot or surf the net at the local library, then the Mink camper might just be the digital nomad paradise you’ve been looking for.
Equipped with non-obtrusive LED lighting and a BOSE sound system that feeds through to both the living and outdoor cooking areas, this teardrop trailer is rave-ready no matter what time of year it is.
Two of the best bits about these Mink Campers are the curved stargazing roof and the Hobbit hole-style door. And surprisingly, this trailer has plenty of storage and room for a kids canvas bed to boot.
It might be a little crowded with three, but that won’t matter if you’re a cosy family.

The Timberleaf Pika might look like a miniature camper for everyone’s favourite yellow mouse Pokemon, but think again.
This is undoubtedly one of the best teardrop trailers that we’ve ever had the pleasure of seeing first hand. It’s amazing how much you can cram into such a small space while still having a comfortable and cosy camper.
And at 1025lbs, it’s not going to cost the earth when it comes to filling you car with fuel too!
Ok, so it’s obviously not named after Pikachu. The name comes from a particularly hardy breed of mountain rabbit that lives on steep slopes.
With rugged tyres and a tow bar that could withstand a Hulk Smash, the Pika is the perfect camper to take on a holiday to the beach or an expedition into uncharted lands.
Or just a nice spot on Park4Night if you’re not feeling too adventurous.

Any company that uses the tag line ‘Go Nowhere. Seriously’ deserves your attention. These hand-built aluminium homes are seriously compact, measuring in at just 8ft long by 4ft wide.
With 6ft or height inside, they’ll fit in most garages and easily pass through height barriers at the local supermarket…

At 750lbs, it’s one of the lightest trailers on the market too (although not as light as number 7 in this list. That thing could float!).
See that clever LED lighting on the inside too? This thing could light up like the 4th of July if you wanted (or you’re Katy Perry).
Plus, with a spacious kitchenette in the back and a full-sized double memory foam mattress to kick back on, it’s the perfect home-from-home after a long day of exploring in the wilderness.

4. The Polydrop P17 Trailer – $14,990
Ever wondered what would happen if the Pokemon Polygon mated with the Mink Camper? I guess it would be weird if you had and it might be a good idea to seek professional help…
The Polydrop P17 Trailer would undoubtedly be the result of this strange union, a no-curve camper that beat the Tesla Truck Camper to the look long before Elon Musk had even thought of throwing that rock at the window.
Not many trailers are light enough to be towed by a sleek sports car. And, while the Polydrop is both stylish and comfortable inside and out, the main reason I like it is that it looks like something from Tony Stark’s garage.
At 12’4″ long, this camper is more than big enough for even the tallest campers to kick back in. It was invented by the architectural designer Kyung-Htun Lew, someone who obviously shares my passion for al things sci-fi and space-age battles!
Made from an aluminium chassis and a wooden skeleton, the P17 weighs in at just 760lbs. That’s only 10lbs heavier than the Vintage Overland trailer, giving nerds like me another option if they want something that looks like it dropped from the Starship Enterprise.
Light enough to be pulled by any car and kitted out with insulation for all seasons, the P17 is a show-stopping trailer that is bound to make heads turn down at the local campsite.

5. The Apache – $12,000
The Apache takes the 5th spot in this list of the best Teardrop trailers of all time!
I’ve previously covered these trailers back when CARP Expedition were known as Bear Campers. Well, the new Apache looks like a maximum security vault and, while simple on the inside, provides a sturdy ride that can withstand pretty much anything!
That cool finish is down to the Tough Line-X Exterior coating. Plus, with prices starting at $12,000, this could well be the cheapest camper for this level of protection currently on the market.
As I said, the inside is a little simple yet 100% functional, with enough shelving to house your gear and a comfortable looking bed to crash out on after a long day in the wilderness.
The flap at the back of the camper folds down to provide more space for storage. It also holds all of the switches and fuses for the trailer’s electrics.
There isn’t much space for a kitchen set-up in this build. Still, if you like BBQs and fire pits, then that shouldn’t be much of a problem.

6. Tvan MK5 – $52,990
Next up in our list of the best teardrop trailers of all time is another camper for the sci-fi fans amongst you. Yes, it turns out that when Luke’s X-Wing had finally been decommissioned after defeating the empire and the first order, Chewbacca decided to turn it into a tiny trailer!
Meet the Tvan MK5 from Track Trailer, one of the gnarliest off-grid campers to come out of Australia. It’s a little like the Swiss-Army knife of the trailer world, with hundreds of surprises hidden throughout every inch of the design.
The force is definitely strong with this one thanks to the off-road electric brakes and military-grade MC2 Suspension®. Eagle-eyed readers might have already spotted the MaxxTraxx recovery boards on the folding deck at the back of the camper, and that’s only scratching the surface of what this thing holds.
The roof of the trailer holds a 120W solar panel and two air vents for keeping the living area nice and cool. Power comes from a 300W Pure Sine inverter (great for preventing expensive items from frying while charging).
Unlike the Mink, the Tvan MK5 has 180 litres of water storage, making it a cracking choice for people who like to cook big meals on the go.

If you’re searching for tiny camper that complements your eco-friendly lifestyle, then this next entry in our list of the best teardrop trailers will make both you and your bank balance smile.
The Earth Traveller Trailer is a fascinating little camper that constantly surprises me. For starters, it’s the lightest trailer ever built.
Weighing in at 300lbs and insulated with a material made from chicken feathers (yes, chicken feathers), this is the first camper that can be lifted out of a ditch by hand instead of being towed!
Why is this thing so light? Well, the Earth Traveller was designed to be pulled by much smaller vehicles, namely the inventor’s Fiat 500.
The inside of the camper feels very much like a relaxing Japanese living room, and the malleable space inside is perfect for kicking back with a yoga mat and adding some zen into your daily routine.
With a rear pop top and tent inserts, this is one of the tallest campers in out list of the best teardrop trailers too!
As I’ve already said, the inside is pretty sparse. There’s a little kitchenette area and not a lot of storage, but that’s not why the Earth Traveller has made it into our list.

If you’re looking for the best Teardrop trailers for off-grid getaways (and lets’ face it; that’s why you’re here), then you need to check out Escapod.
Their original Topo series is still one of the best in the business, perfect for weekend warriors who travel light but need a camper that packs a punch.
The Topo isn’t ever going to win an award for its subtlety. Once the roof top tent is up and the awning extended, it looks a little like a sort-of robotic snail.
Still, with a 3,500lb rated torsion axle trailer and a steel frame that could withstand a rhino stampede, I don’t think it’s a trailer that needs to worry about blending in!
Escapod sure know their stuff. Each trailer comes ready equipped with an articulating trailer hitch, making attaching it to any vehicle a breeze.
Plus, the Topo tent and awning are more waterproof than a ducks back, and the walls are insulated to provide comfortable use 365-days of the year.

Don’t worry; I saved the best till last.

I know the TerraDrop sounds like something that might feature in a theme park, but hear me out. There’s nothing terra-ble about this camper; if anything, it’s ‘terra-ific’…
… I don’t do stand up, but maybe I should…
The TerraDrop is a mighty camper that, while maintaining the teardrop shape, has more tricks up its sleeve than Dumbledore in a joke shop.
Thanks to the rooftop apartment (tent), the tiny trailer can sleep four people (or five if you’ve got a dog that likes heights). At just 8ft long, it won’t be difficult to take down narrow lanes, making it perfect for trailer novices or anyone worries about storying it at home.
The inside of the TerraDrop is nice and spacious for a tiny camper, with a living/sleeping area decked out with hand built cupboards. Stick all your gear up on the roof rack when the pop-top tent is packed away, and get off grid thanks to a rugged tyre set-up.
Like so many other campers on this list, the TerraDrop provides the option of cooking under an awning. That means that you can whip up meals come rain or shine and not have to worry about smoking out your sleeping space.
The final weight of each TerraDrop fluctuates depending on what features you include in the build. Still, you can expect to be towing around 1,500lbs, and to pay around $16,000 for the trailer itself.

I’ve saved a bit a bit of a wildcard for the last entry in our list of the best Teardrop trailers. Just take a look at the Hütte Hut, an incredible piece of woodwork built without any screws whatsoever.
This teardrop trailer is made completely from marine-grade ply and stunning baltic birch. Instead of marring the design with nasty nails, each Hütte Hut is built using special epoxy resin made from plants…
It’s stunning and eco-friendly at the same time; whod’ve thought it!
This trailer could be classed as more a tiny house than a camper, but I’m putting it win because it’s the same shape as a teardrop, and it’s my list, so just accept it, alright?
